Happy Holiday Season!

I hope you experience happiness, contentment and fun engagements all throughout your holiday season.

I’ve been having some wonderful breakthroughs around getting to know myself better, knowing my limits and what is actually required in a safe happy environment for my self so I can actually have a “Happy Holiday.” Everybody wishes everyone “ happy Holidays “ but not all of us are happy, or know how to create a happy environment. Many of us struggle with depression through out the holiday season. How can we make the holiday safer and truly fulfilling and uplifting?

Do you struggle with the holidays, like me? The interactions, the expectations? Wishing things could be better?

Here’s a tip: set intentions, instead of expectations. If you are on your way somewhere to a gathering, or awaiting the arrival of guests and your expectations are high, good or bad, pause a moment and set an intention, such as:

“The vibe here is relaxing, I intend Joy energy, I intend for a space of acceptance and harmony, we will laugh a lot. I’m intend there to be relaxation energy, I’m entering this space coming from joy and I’m here to experience kindness and acceptance.”

I do this a lot with events, places I’m expected to go. Here’s the thing: people have set intentions unknowingly by simply fearing the worst: ”My mother in law always  bullies me, or I hope my friend doesn’t bring his belligerent friend.”

if you carry any type of fear with you into a situation you are already intending an outcome. Not because you want to be in pain, but because, with this attitude you are already giving your power away.

So take control and consciously intend a clear, safe, joyous environment. create a positive energy foundation in which you and all people in the space can be inspired to relax and be comfortable.

It's not as challenging as you think, it's just about being conscious and knowing what environments support you in feeling good, and creating that environment.

Another example:  “Everyone in this space will feel calm and safe, we will all share laughter and all feel included, we will enjoy getting to know each other, we will experience harmony and deepen our connections in fun and satisfying ways.”

Setting an intention creates energy. You can imagine that all of your intentions for a harmonious space go into a ball of light which expands into a space. You can intend for that energy to be there before you arrive.

So you set the intention and then let go of the outcome, this way you won’t have expectations or be trying to control out comes.
